Compelling drama from our Senior students

Our senior students presented two gripping performances of The Crucible, in partnership with De La Salle College. The quality of performance was outstanding, with students delivering powerful and complex dialogue which had the audience captivated through to the final scene.

The experience of preparing this production has been one of growth for many of the cast, providing an opportunity to further develop their dramatic repertoire and learn technical skills from their teachers and each other. Two of the cast provided their reflection on the experience.

"The Crucible began as a daunting challenge but after the first rehearsal I knew it would be incredible. Being part of this year’s senior play was an unforgettable experience. Learning and performing scenes with my cast mates and under Ms White's direction was both creatively challenging and deeply rewarding. I met so many incredible people and got to laugh on and off stage. I am so grateful for everyone involved, Ms White, Ms Freeman-Smith, my fellow cast and crew who made it the unforgettable experience it was!" - Bee, Year 10 (Abigail Proctor)

"My last school production has been an amazing experience doing The Crucible. Delving into the twisted and fascinating characters of the play has been fun for all of us. Ms White has been a fantastic director, with the help of Ms Freeman-Smith, bringing this all together to create an astounding show. I have loved getting to make connections and friendships with people of different year levels through this rehearsal journey. A phenomenal play that shows the talent of OLSH and De La Salle." - Sophie, Year 12 (Hysteria Ensemble)

State Award for our Wakakirri Team

Earlier this month students from Years 7 to 12 proudly performed their piece Keys of Light as part of the Wakakirri Story-Dance Festival at the Frankston Arts Centre. We are thrilled to announce that the performance has received a State Award in this year’s festival!

This is an outstanding achievement and a reflection of the dedication, creativity, and passion of our students. Their storytelling and commitment to inspiring change through the arts truly shone on stage. Congratulations to all involved - we are so proud of you!
