Dear Family and Friends of OLSH College,
Each year Term 3 is a time that is filled with many events! This newsletter showcases so much of the activity that fills the days and nights of students, staff and families. Importantly, these are focused on drawing us into the life and spirit of OLSH College Bentleigh. It is a privilege to share in the giftedness of our students which flows through every aspect of their participation in their educational journey. The joy and enthusiasm that they bring to the classroom and to their areas of interest outside the classroom is tangible – we need to continue to spread and encourage this sense of energy, curiosity and adventure in the hearts of all our young people.
On Thursday 27 August, we commemorated the birthday of Marie Louise Hartzer, the first leader of the OLSH Sisters. These moments, when we gather to honour those who inspire us and shape our shared history, offer us a space for reflection — a chance for our hearts to be touched.
Marie Louise Hartzer’s writings echo her deep commitment to compassion, reminding us to carry kindness with us on every step of life’s journey. “Above all, be very kind and considerate to each other” — a message that speaks gently to each of us, and to the world we share.
As we move towards our celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart we warmly invite you to join us for our celebration of Mass on 12 September at 9am in the College Hall.
Be more and more united.
Charity will give you strength and happiness.
Let each do her best…
Do not be anxious about the future it is in the hands of God
