As our year is at a close, we are so incredibly grateful for the year that has been. We had the privilege of these roles hoping to make a difference to our community and give back to this beautiful place that has given so much to us. Serving this community has been the most fulfilling experience, teaching us the value of, showing up for others, creating space for voices to be heard and the power of unity and our actions. Thank you for trusting us to lead the student body, we couldn't be more grateful for all the experiences, lessons and memories. It was never about the recognition or title but rather the opportunity to serve others and leave a positive impact on those around us.
Over the past six years, we’ve watched the traditions of OLSH, the final assemblies, the House events, the feast days, and the heartfelt goodbyes. Now it is our turn, we’re saying goodbye to classrooms that have seen us grow and change, to teachers who believed in us, even when we didn't believe in ourselves, and to friends who have become more like family.
To Ms O’Loughlin who has led with strength and grace, guiding us not just as a principal, but as a role model who embodies the OLSH pillars in all that she does, we are so grateful for you.
The amazing deputy principals that work tirelessly to give us the best education and environment possible, Ms Oro, Ms Donohue, Mr Di Pietro and Mr Miniham, as well as Mrs La Greca and Ms Ewart who have been incredible supporters this year, thank you!
Thank you to our teachers, for everything you’ve poured into us this year and across the years. Your patience, passion, and belief in us have carried us through some of the toughest moments of our schooling. You’ve challenged us, supported us, and celebrated us, even when we doubted ourselves. To all our incredible support staff, thank you for everything you do behind the scenes to make our days run so smoothly.
We were overwhelmed by the support from the student body this year. Their eagerness and willingness to get involved has been so admirable. We truly wish you all the best for the reminder of your time at OLSH and hope that your time here is as fulfilling and meaningful as ours has been.
Our Leadership Handover Ceremony was a moment of both reflection and anticipation, a reminder that while our chapter as leaders is closing, a new and exciting one is just beginning for the 2026 team. We wish Sarina, Tianna, Syanne and Catherine as well as all 2026 leaders, all the best as they venture onto this new journey. You are all so incredibly capable and we can't wait to see all the amazing things you achieve!
To the class of 2025, thank you for being the best year level we could ever have asked for. Your kindness, compassion and love for life brought so much fun to each and every day. We hope you look back with immense pride for all that you have overcome and achieved here at OLSH. May you look forward with excitement for all that lies ahead, your potential is truly limitless.
And even though we have come to the end of our time here, it will never be the end of OLSH’s impact on who we are and who we’ll become. We may be leaving these walls behind, but the memories, the friendships, and the love we found here, they’ll never leave us. Thank you and we are endlessly grateful
Thank you and all the best!
