Reflecting on our year as leaders

As our leadership term is fast approaching its end, we would love to reflect on the year that has gone past with you.

At the end of last year, the four of us put ourselves out there among many others to show the school community our desire for change. We wanted to foster a community filled with love, connection, participation, and vulnerability. We attended a leadership camp over the summer break and watched our friendship with each other truly flourish - you rarely meet your lifelong friends at 17 in high school - and yet this leadership experience has truly brought us four together in a way that has allowed us to lead with compassion, courage, and determination. Mia, master of kindness and connectivity; our professional elegant improviser. Emilia, an individual who deeply integrates with our school through compassion and joy; someone you can always have a chat with. Alexandra, our bubble of energy who doubles as our change maker and logistics decider. And Chanelle, our creative guru, always willing to give things a go and role model for all those in our community!

The main message we shared with the girls this year was to be open to new opportunities, and give things a go! No one in this world is perfect, however, when we embrace each other's strengths and support each other‘s weaknesses, we can all become a conquering team.

So, no matter where we are individually this year, we hope that we have provided just enough sunlight, water and love, to allow us all to bloom this spring!

And as always, we know that with a little nurturing, we can truly grow and succeed in our endeavours.

So, with OLSH's feast day eagerly approaching, we are excited to share with you the final steps we celebrate before the next changemakers take our place.
