Dear family and friends of OLSH College,

On 30 August 1874, in the small French town of Issoudun, Fr Jules Chevalier founded the Congregation of the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart. Today marks 150 years since the story of the OLSH sisters began.

Over the next two weeks, the College community will join with the sisters in celebrating the 150th anniversary of their foundation. Their mission has been singular in its purpose, to bring to people everywhere the love of the Heart of Jesus. Their motto May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be everywhere loved was given to them by Fr Jules Chevalier and has been handed on to us here at OLSH College Bentleigh.

In these special days of celebration we join our prayers of joy and thanksgiving with those of the psalmist and say:

It is good to give thanks to the Lord
to sing praises to your name, O Most High;
to declare your steadfast love in the morning
and your faithfulness by night...
Psalm 92:1-3

Always united in our shared OLSH Spirit.

Regnet Christus
May Christ Reign
