As we approach the Term 2 holiday break, it has been wonderful to see students attending to their learning programs with full vigor. Even though Term 2 was one of the longer terms, we witnessed many impactful and energetic moments for all of our students. Our Year 7 and 8 students have worked tirelessly at their transition into full classes, and our Year 9s have started their alternative Issoudun Programs. With two-thirds of our Year 9s experiencing Hartzer, our Nous Sommes and Je Suis programs have shown that alternative curricula bring out the best in our students. Year 10 and 11 students completed their exams and are already making headway into Semester Two programs. Year 12s have all completed their Unit 3 courses and have an eye on the Term 3 push towards final exams.
For all of our students and families, this break provides the opportunity to rejuvenate before returning for the final half of 2024. Over this break, our senior students should schedule time for reviewing their Semester 1 work, with a view to setting relevant learning goals. At the beginning of Term 3, our students will begin their subject selection with the support of Ms. Carmel Girolami, Careers and Pathways Coordinator. As each year level begins the process, communication will be sent through to students and parents.
Rest, rejuvenate, and reflect on the semester that was. Enjoy your break.
