This week members of our OLSH College Bentleigh community (students, staff, parents, grandparents and OLSH Sisters) gathered to reflect on our Laudato Si (Praise be to You!) journey and next steps as we ensure that care of creation is at the heart of who we are and all we do. We looked back on our shared journey and together created a plan for our way forward which we will launch in September to celebrate the beginning of the Season of Creation.

Deputy Principal Faith and Mission
Recently we asked students to submit designs that represent our OLSH Pillars, to celebrate the 150th year of the OLSH Sisters. We were truly blown away by the creativity and talent shown in all the submissions, and we truly appreciate the effort and dedication that students put into their designs.
We selected two outstanding designs to be displayed around the school to commemorate 150 years of the OLSH sisters and to celebrate what it means to be a part of our OLSH College community. These designs represent what it means to be a heart person who is faith-filled, who reverences relationships, pursues excellence, and touches the hearts of others.
Congratulations to Year 7 student Maya Walsh and Issoudun student Grettel Dattari Sepulveda. Both students will receive a certificate and gift card to recognise their efforts and participation.
We
can't wait to see these beautiful designs displayed around the College!

We are holding our Annual Winter Sleepout next term, on Thursday 18 July from 5:30pm. This is a great opportunity to raise awareness for homelessness and hear from our friends at the St Kilda Food van. This activity is for students in years 10 to 12 only.
Here is a reflection from Roma and Eve about last year's sleep out.
"Being apart of the Winter Sleepout in 2023 was such an eye opening opportunity. We got to hear from some guest speakers on their experiences, and from Tracey, who runs the food van, on how much she pours into those who are less fortunate, and what we can do to contribute to that as well. Overall, it was a great experience to raise awareness, and to learn not to take everything for granted." - Roma and Eve
