Dear family and friends of OLSH College,
As we move toward the final weeks of the school year, we turn our minds and hearts to a space of reflection and celebration—acknowledging the journey we have shared throughout the year. Next week, a number of events will help us pause to appreciate and celebrate the growth, achievements, and connections that have been at the centre of our 2024 year.
Our celebration of Regnet Christus Day on Friday 29 November, is the day that we recognise the collective pursuit of excellence that defines life at our College. Whether in the classroom, on the sports field, in the performing arts, through spiritual reflection, wellbeing initiatives, gospel outreach, or the many other co-curricular activities we offer, each endeavour reflects our engagement with life as it unfolds around us. At the heart of all these pursuits is a shared purpose: to learn and to grow. Learning is a deliberate, active connection with the world. To learn is to grow, and all human life is about growth – of mind, of heart, of the sacredness of God’s presence within us and around us.
“For it is in God that we live, move and have our being…”
Acts 17: 28
Let us keep a place for Christ in our lives,
let us care for one another
and let us be loving custodians of creation.
Pope Francis
Always united in our shared OLSH Spirit.
