On the 2nd of August, the Student Leadership team officially launched Feast Day, which will take place on the 8th of September. Announced, was where our fundraising money would go, and the theme for the day. This year, the college community will be raising funds to contribute to the work of the OLSH Sisters in Cordova, the Philippines. There, they run a pre-school for less fortunate children and after COVID, some families have struggled to afford the very little fees charged. Taking inspiration from all the hard work the OLSH Sisters have done over the decades, this year, our theme is ‘Heroines of History’. We wanted the college community to take inspiration from all the amazing women in history, like the OLSH Sisters, who have been true heroines in their areas of expertise. We are looking forward immensely to Feast Day, and hope all of our efforts are able to assist those in need in Cordova.

Additionally, Charlotte Soderlund successfully ran the first of the inter house debates last week! A massive congratulations to her and the students who participated in the debate, it was a great opportunity to earn some house points for the end of year cup. Also, a massive shoutout to the Regnet Christus and Faith and Mission Leaders on their continued efforts in their initiatives such as their weekly ‘Dare to Care’ and bi-weekly ‘Thoughtful Thursdays’. Both have successfully given students the opportunity to learn more about others around them, including teachers.

We look forward to the celebration of Feast Day in Week 9!
