Another big term ahead

Welcome to Term 3! This term we have many exciting and eventful moments that will help shape our student learning. We have Parent Teacher Interview sessions on 3 August and 30 August via Zoom, which is a fantastic opportunity to discuss how all students are working on their learning. The feedback from these sessions will support student growth and allow parents to gain insights into the content, assessment and classroom application. There is a slightly later start the mornings after the interviews, however, students will still have all lessons on those days.

Term 3 is a big term when looking at the 2024 programs as we begin our subject selection process for all year levels. Our year 10s have been meeting throughout this term with our Careers and Pathways Coordinator, Ms Girolami, discussing their subjects for next year. We will send information regarding each year level’s subject selection in the coming weeks, which will include key dates for each of the year level, and for the senior students, we will be running webinar sessions for our parents.

Year 7 Science students made a balloon car for one of their pracs recently. A great way to understand motion and movement!

Our Year 10s are studying Macbeth in English classes and one lesson spent the time re-enacting Act III scene iv, the banquet scene where the Ghost of Banquo taunts Macbeth in front of his noble guests. A great way to bring the story to life and embed the learning.
