Dear Family and Friends of OLSH College,
On this last day of Term 2 it is an appropriate time to reflect on the giftedness within our OLSH College community. We celebrate the achievements of students and staff across this term. We recognise too the determination and enthusiasm that has been displayed as we strive to be heart people who pursue excellence.
The first group of students who participated in the Hartzer Campus Program returned to Melbourne last night. This program together with the vast offerings to students in the spiritual, academic, cultural and sporting arenas is intrinsic to the nature of an education in the OLSH Tradition. In particular, we pay tribute to the dedicated staff who enable such programs to happen.
With a passion to make a difference, to strive for our very best, to have a sense of humour, an ability to accept the vulnerability of being human and yet rejoice in the very best of life - this is so much a part of what we see and hear at OLSH College. With grateful hearts, confidently and proudly we say, OLSH girls can do anything. As we go to term break may there be some time for each of us to heed the words of Jesus ‘rest awhile’ (Mark 6:31-33) and in so doing come to know even more deeply these words of the scriptures.
…in fact God is not far from any of us,
Since it is in God that we live, move and exist.
Acts 17:28
United always in our shared OLSH Spirit,
Anne O'Loughlin
