Our Hartzer Group 1 students had their Retreat Day last Friday, spending the day journal writing and thinking about their own morals and beliefs. The group also reflected on the growth they've achieved and challenges they've faced during their four weeks away from home at Hartzer Park. This special day is a wonderful time of consolidation and connection for the students as they begin to think about returning to Bentleigh and bringing with them the wisdom and experiences they've gathered during their time at Bowral.
Here are some reflections from the students.
'I really enjoyed the positive affirmations because they made me feel happy and loved.' - Thea
'The Reflection Day touched my heart as it made me learn more about myself and others.' - Lily
'The day made me feel good about myself and made me feel a part of this Hartzer Community.' - Jasmine
'I learnt a lot about myself and my friends.' - Keira
'I enjoyed the journal writing and positive affirmations. I can always look back at the positive comments and feel good about myself.' - Poppy
'Great to have a day to reflect. It helped me question and find where I stand with my morals, faith and belief. The day helped put in perspective my peers’ views as well.' - Annaliese

We received two lovely messages of thanks from St Vincent De Paul Conference after our recent Winter Appeal.
To the Principal, Teachers, Staff and Students
Many many thanks for the ‘wonderful’ collection of blankets we received recently. Your continued support and generosity has always helped us to help those struggling with day to day living.
Thank you also for inviting us to share in the Mass, celebrating and honouring the Feast of the Sacred Heart. Along with Father Mark and the wonderful participation and singing of the students, we all felt an inner Peace and Joy after the Mass.
Thank you from
All the members of Moorabbin/Bentleigh St Vincent de Paul Conference
Thank you to the College staff and girls for the lovely blankets, beanies and scarves donated in May. They have been very well received. It's a very cold winter this year. Thanks also for the welcoming morning tea, always a joy. We appreciate very much the support of the OLSH community.
