Year 10 student Gabi Trajer travelled to Perth in March to represent Mordialloc Life Saving Club at the Aussie Championships. She competed in the U19 Beach sprint relay making it through to the finals. She also made it into the Top 20 in the Open Flag competition.

After returning from Perth Gabi was fortunate to be selected to represent Vic Metro in the U16 AFL National Championships over the holidays. Twenty-six girls were selected from the Vic Metro area and played Game 1 against Vic Country in Shepparton, then Game 2 against South Australia at North Melbourne's Arden Street home ground. Both games were tight, keeping the spectators on their toes until the end. No wins for Vic Metro on this occasion but absolute gratitude to be part of such an amazing experience and meet some fantastic people.
