With an amazing Athletics Carnival on the 1st of May, the students of OLSH have had a very enthusiastic start to Term 2! The day was full of participation from students in all houses and year levels and ended with Chevalier as the winning house. We wanted to say a massive congratulations to all of the House leaders for their efforts on the day! They all did an amazing job encouraging the students in their houses; it was great to see such friendly competition. Additionally, Xavier was awarded first place for their creative and energetic chant.
Throughout the day, many students volunteered to help sell sausages, drinks and ice-creams to continue our fundraising toward the Lenten Appeal. We are very excited to announce that the total has reached $7,598. We cannot thank the school community enough for all their donations over the past few months!
Following the launch at the end of Term 1, rehearsals for the upcoming Performing Arts Spectacular have begun! With each house focusing on a specific world location and cartoon character, it has been great to see the creative storylines that have been created. We wish all the College leaders the best of luck for the next two weeks with the performance day falling on Sacred Heart Day, the 26th of May.
Over the next few newsletters, we're going to be sharing short profiles of each of the Year 12 Student Leaders. Read more below about Terri, Lily, Amelia and Tahlia.
