Celebrating Advent and our Advent fundraising

We celebrated our Advent Mass together on the final day of term, taking time to reflect on what Advent invites us to as we prepare our hearts in readiness for Christmas. Thank you to the local conferences of the St Vincent De Paul Society for joining us at Mass and to everyone who has contributed to our Advent appeal. We have raised more than $3,300, which was passed on to Vinnies to support local families this Christmas.

During our Mass, our 2024 College Captain Mia Karvounaris shared with us a beautiful reflection on what her relationship with Jesus means to her. Mia has allowed us to publish this for you to enjoy reading.  Read Mia's reflection below.

Another highlight of our Mass was the beautiful communion reflection sung by Chloe Abdulbalki. Chloe sang Amy Grant’s Breath of Heaven as we took time to think of Mary and the enormity of her ‘Yes’ in response to God’s invitation to bear Jesus for the world.

Please join in praying the final prayer from our Advent Mass:

Thank you God for the gift of your Son, Jesus who made his home among us.
Thank you for the gift of Mary, his mother and of Joseph, her husband.
May our families find support, growth and peace in the family of Jesus, your Son, Amen.
