Our junior students presented two performances of Holes last week, in partnership with St Bedes College.
The students attended rehearsals at St Bede's every Wednesday for most of this year. Director, Rachel Urquhart was very proud of all the students involved and was very happy to have given them this opportunity! Year 8 student Bee performed in the production and was also had the opportunity to be an Assistant Director. Here's her reflection:
"Being a director allows you to see the show from the audience perspective and how it all comes together. It gives you a chance to give input and create moments to make the show the best it can be. It was challenging to give direction and tell others what they needed to do but not take over.
Taking a look at the whole scene allows you to deepen your understanding of all the characters and how they contribute to the story and how you can be responsible for contributing to the story.”
Our junior students will be presenting Deck the Stage, a Christmas variety show, on Thursday 16 November and Friday 17 November. The show is a series of short plays and musical numbers inspired by Christmas carols and all things festive! Book your tickets now via Trybooking: https://www.trybooking.com/CMAOY
