Final sports tournaments for 2023
Competitive sport has finished for the year. Well done to everyone who took part in trials, training and competition days!
Thanks to all coaches and office staff, who enabled students to attend.
The final CGSAV sport of the year was Division 1 Softball, which was held last Tuesday in Waverly. The Inter players had an active day out, improving their softball skills and game strategy with the help of Ms Logan. Ms Renwick-Shaw’s Juniors were runners up after performing well all day, and the Senior team, made up of Year 11s and coached by Ms Stent, were successful in an exciting Grand Final!
The Junior and Inter Softball teams were also competitive at the SEGAP Sport competition against Kilbreda, Killester and Sacred Heart colleges. Junior and Inter Tennis teams, coached by Ms Naylor, enthusiastically represented OLSH at the SEGAP Sport tournaments. All games were close and we look forward to bringing home the medals next year. All tennis players are encouraged to practice over the holidays to be ready for team selections at the beginning of Term 1 next year.

Congratulations to Issoudun student Lola who competed in the State Netball All Abilities Championships at the State Netball Centre on the weekend. Lola’s team, the Hendersons, had a great day of competition and were runners up in Division 2.
