We’re looking forward to presenting our Junior Production, The Trial of the Big Bad Wolf, with St Bede’s College.
It is a fun, short musical production that tells the story of what would happen if the Big Bad Wolf was on trial for his offences. The storyline includes other characters from fairytales that feature wolves, including the Three Little Pigs, Red Riding Hood and Peter.
Three performances are being presented in the Performing Arts Centre at OLSH College.

Last week the Issoudun drama class spent a session exploring the Italian theatre style of Commedia dell’Arte, made popular in the 16th century and characterised by masks and witty content. Students spent the morning in the incursion learning about stock characters and traditional conventions of the performance style.
Thanks to the team at Make A Scene for giving the girls this wonderful experience!
Our Year 10 Drama students spent at day at the Malthouse Theatre this week, performing the Suitcase Series.
The students were given a script for a play that deals with climate change and then spent a number of weeks creating a 20 minute piece of theatre in response to the characters and themes of the original play. Through this, they worked through the stages of production process, developing a script and understanding different theatre styles. It was great to put it all together on stage at such an iconic Melbourne theatre.
