Congratulations to our newly announced Year 12 Executive Team Leaders - Syanne Ancora, Sarina Azad, Tianna Kamal-Eddine and Catherine Sim!!
We are so proud of each student who put themselves forward, delivered a speech, and shared their passion for shaping our school community. Standing up and putting your ideas into action takes great courage, and every one of you should be proud. While not everyone walks away with a badge, leadership is not defined by titles alone. Each of you has the power to lead through kindness, initiative, and example.
As term three comes to an end, we pause to reflect on the achievement and events this term had in store.
We honour many accomplishments achieved by students this term; one of which was the senior play ‘The Crucible', which was an absolute hit, ending the year strong as the final show for the year 12s. Neeve, Harlie, Alana and Lily participated in the CGSAV Teen Chef program where they prepare a main dish and dessert to a panel of judges against other Catholic all-girls schools, bringing home gold medals! Congratulations girls!
We also welcome back the Issoudun students who embarked on their 4 week journey to Hartzer Park in Bowral NSW! We hope the experience was filled with learning and laughter, but most importantly… love!
There was a range of initiatives run by leaders and clubs this term. A bake sale raising awareness for Daffodil Day run by the Regnet Christus Leaders, a life-size game of rock, paper, scissors to raise awareness for Wear it Purple Day organised by Diversity Club and a range of fundraisers to prepare for our feast day celebrations like pizza, Krispy Kreme donuts and potato twists!
Our theme for this year’s Feast Day was “Oceans Apart, Together at Heart,” a reflection of the OLSH spirit that unites us no matter the distance. The day began with a beautiful Mass, rich with song and tradition, grounding us in faith and community.
From there, the celebrations burst into life as the much-anticipated OLSH Feast Day Mission Carnival began. The school was filled with excitement, laughter, and colour, with activities and rides that brought endless fun, and food stalls offering something for every taste. The energy of the day created a joyful atmosphere and was the perfect way to round off Term 3.
More than just a day of festivity, the carnival was a testament to the strength of our community and the positive impact we can make when we come together. A heartfelt thank you goes to our dedicated staff and students who worked tirelessly to bring the event to life, and to our families and community members whose generous contributions made the day such a success.
Wishing everyone a safe and relaxing term break.
