New ways of learning

In our last week of the term, we were able to pivot and run some classes online. This flexibility in the way we deliver learning has been particularly important at this moment in time. After meeting with staff and students online to explain what learning would look like, many students commented that they were excited to try a new method of learning. A key part of any learning journey is maintaining a growth mindset and being open to new approaches. Well done to our students for embracing this mindset so positively.

With only a fortnight of Year 12 classes remaining, this is the time when we expect our senior students to really step up their studies. Throughout the term, many have been working collaboratively in the library after school, and the Senior Study Space has been filled with focused, active learners. Our senior students are providing an excellent example to the rest of the College, showing the value of structured and consistent study. For them, the upcoming holiday period will no doubt be a time of intensive preparation.

For all of our other students, these holidays are a valuable opportunity to rest, recharge, and return ready for a strong final term of 2025.

Two of our Year 7 students, Cassie and Ellie, together with Dr. Zhu and Mrs Chen, participated in the Chinese Language Association of Victoria’s Year 7 Reading Award Ceremony recently. Both students read an unseen text in Chinese, showcasing their language learning and confidence. We are extremely proud of their outstanding performance and their passion for learning Chinese. It was truly a rewarding and inspiring event.
