Building strong study habits

The middle weeks of Term 3 are always a busy period, filled with planning for the next term and even the year ahead. For our students in Years 7 to 11, this means making important decisions about their learning programs for the following year. It’s natural for students to feel some pressure, as these choices can seem like they carry long-term implications. While it is important to plan with the future in mind, our Year 7 to 10 curriculum is intentionally designed to provide a broad range of subjects, giving students the flexibility to explore their interests.

For our Year 12 students, the countdown is on - with fewer than 30 days of scheduled classes remaining in their final year. Their study preparations are well underway, and many are working hard to achieve their final goals. For students in the junior years, it’s important to remember that successful exam preparation doesn’t start when there are only 30 days left - it begins much earlier. Building strong study habits throughout the junior years lays the foundation for success. Our Year 10 and 11 students still have eight weeks of classes before their exams, providing a valuable opportunity to prepare thoroughly.

Congratulations to all students who received Semester Awards at our recent Semester 1 Celebration of Excellence. Your hard work and dedication to your studies is something to be proud of. At the same time, we acknowledge the many students who may not have received an award but still achieved remarkable results through consistent effort and commitment. Whether recognised on stage or not, every student who strives for their personal best should feel a strong sense of accomplishment. Congratulations to all who continue to pursue excellence in everything they do.

Macbeth...al fresco!

Our Year 10s re-enacted the banquet scene from Macbeth outdoors this week. It was a great way to engage with the content and bring the story to life!
