An electric atmosphere at PAS

This year’s Performing Arts Spectacular was a resounding success across all houses. Each team rose to the challenge of a demanding brief: to create a performance inspired by a Disney Channel Original Movie, incorporate the music of a female artist, and creatively reflect the 2025 school motto, “Take the Dive, Start the Ripple.” Despite the complexity of the criteria, every house brought a unique and imaginative interpretation to the stage. I was incredibly proud of all the students involved—every performer gave their all, making it a truly electric atmosphere and an exceptionally difficult task for the judges to determine a winner.

On the day of the event, I had the chance to visit rehearsals and witness the creative process in action. Seeing the dedication, teamwork, and growth of each group was truly inspiring. To watch those efforts culminate in polished, seven-minute performances was a testament to the students' talent and hard work. PAS is a highlight of the school year—not only showcasing creativity and performance skills but also encouraging students to step outside their comfort zones and build stronger connections within their house communities.

On Tuesday the 20th of May we had the Semester 1 Dance Showcase in the Performing Arts Centre, OLSH College. We saw a range of performances from students in Year 7 through to Year 12, with both ensembles and solo's being showcased from a variety of dance styles.

Studying Year 2 VET Dance this year, means that was our last Semester Showcase. These events have been such a great experience and we are so glad we were able to share our passion with the younger students this year.

Huge thanks to everyone who performed, supported, and cheered us on. We will be cheering on the next semester of dancers, as we focus on our solo performances for the end of year exam.
