An action-packed start to the term

Our school holidays saw some incredible results from some of our students, outside of the school sporting pursuits.

Fernanda (Year 11) competed at the Australian Championships in Hammer Throw - Fernanda was the National Champion in U17 and was also the silver medalist in the U19 division!

Violet (Year 10) travelled to Florida to represent Australia at the World Cheerleading Championships!

Indiana (Year 11) was selected as a member of the under 16 Vic Country team who travelled to Brisbane play against the other under 16 teams around the country for the National Championship.

Keeley (Year 10) competed at the Victorian Lifesaving Championships in Warrnambool and won a silver medal in the U19 Women's Rescue Tube Rescue team event and a bronze medal in the U17 Women's Surf team!

Term 2 Sport has commenced, with a large group of basketballers travelling to MSAC for the CGSAV Tournament on 30 April. Our Senior Team were victorious in the Grand Final, Intermediate made it through to the GF, and lost by only 2 points, while both Junior teams made it through to semis, but were defeated and missed out on playing in the Grand Final.

From the courts, to the track, OLSH House Athletics Carnival was a spectacular day - both weather, and physical performances! Our students ran, jumped and threw their way through the day, with Chevalier taking home the overall Shield, for the third year in a row, in additional to Intermediate and Senior Division. Well done To Hartzer who won Junior, and Xavier whose chants were precise and very creative! A fabulous day all around!

The focus now shifts to Athletics and Cross Country Carnival, and the AFL Tournament in June! Good luck also to our Basketball, Futsal and Badminton players who play in the SEGAP competition on Friday!
