Dear family and friends of OLSH College,

When reflecting on the start of the year it is amazing to acknowledge all that has happened since the return of all students and staff on January 30.

The start of the year at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College Bentleigh is carefully planned to ensure that we prioritise key events that build relationships and connection. Our entire spirituality finds its foundation in God's love - that love surrounds us and dwells within us. Looking back on these first four weeks of Term 1, we are grateful to have celebrated significant milestones in our College community: the Opening School Mass, Year 12 Formal, our 2024 VCE Ceremony of Excellence, Year 7 Camp and the Year 12 Retreat. These moments not only mark important stages in our students’ journeys but also strengthen our sense of unity and belonging. In each of these experiences, we are touched by the presence of God in our midst. Though we may not always recognise it, St. Paul’s words remind us:

"Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?"
1 Corinthians 3:16

As we journey through the year ahead, we place our trust in the loving Heart of our God, confident that Our Lady of the Sacred Heart walks with us every step of the way.
