Dear Family and Friends of OLSH College,
In our celebration of International Women’s Day today, we have the opportunity to highlight the profound importance of championing equality for women in every facet of life. At OLSH College we are blessed and privileged to be dedicated to the education of girls. Regrettably, at present, 129 million girls worldwide are not attending school. Richard Leonard SJ shines a light on what would be possible for our world when he states: “If we educated every girl child in the world, we would renew the face of the earth”.
When the voices and experiences of women are heard, all of society is truly enriched. Let us pray together that, through encounter and dialogue, “the genius of woman may be allowed to flourish in today's world.” Pope Francis
Special Congratulations to our OLSH College Diving Team who were Champion School at the recent Catholic Girls Schools Sports Association Division 1 Competition. An outstanding achievement by students and their dedicated staff coaches.
Always united in our shared OLSH Spirit.

Our International Women’s Day celebrations were made very special as we celebrated our Generations Assembly, welcoming back mothers and grandmothers of our current Year 7 and 8 students. It was lovely to recognise them on the stage and have them join us for morning tea. We reflected on the many generations of OLSH students who have come before us and are out in the world making contributions in so many ways, and on the need to continue to strive for inclusivity and empowerment of girls and women across the world.
