This year marked an exciting first for us- a musical as our junior production. Matilda Jr, with its heartwarming story of courage, imagination and finding your voice, was the perfect fit for our students.
Over the past few months, 70 incredible young performers from OLSH and St Bede's East Bentleigh, poured their energy, creativity and dedication into bringing this story to life. Their growth, from our very first rehearsal, to what audiences ended up seeing on stage, was nothing short of remarkable.
The students presented three, sold-out shows as well as a full dress rehearsal for primary school students from St Catherines and the audience feedback was extremely positive.
Heartfelt thanks to the leadership of both colleges— Ms Anne O'Loughlin and Ms Deb Frizza. Your unwavering support for the Arts at OLSH and St Bede’s is truly appreciated. Lastly, I’d like to thank the parents and families of our students. Thank you for your endless encouragement and for supporting your children in this wonderful adventure. Hopefully we will see them shining on stage for many years to come!

We are thrilled to share the success of our Semester 2 Dance Showcase, held on earlier this month. Students in years 7 to Year 11 showcased their talent with a vibrant array of ensemble pieces and stunning senior solos. The performances captivated the audience, reflecting the hard work and dedication of our young dancers. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported our talented students—your enthusiasm made the evening truly special! Stay tuned for more exciting events in the future!
