Our final Feast Day Mass and Mission Carnival

On the 13th of September we celebrated our Feast Day Mission Carnival. We started the day with a mass together as a College community. It was amazing to see the spirit of the day starting so strongly. At the end of mass, there was a very exciting announcement about the Senior Executive team for 2024. We would love to extend our congratulations to Chanelle Abdulbaki, Emilia Brusco, Mia Karvounaris and Alexandra Tzimourtas! We are very excited to see the great things they will do in this position.

After mass, began the Mission Carnival. This year’s theme was ‘Heroes and Heroines of History’, there was a huge variety of costumes we saw that represented figures from centuries ago to present day; all of which are heroes to us. It was so exciting to see all the students enjoying the different rides, stalls, raffles, and food! In total, we raised over $20,000 for the mission work of the OLSH Sisters in Cordova, the Philippines.

The Feast Day Mission Carnival couldn’t have been this big a success without the help of all the teachers who organised the day, those who stayed back to prepare the food, and also the student leadership team who helped during the lead up and throughout the course of the day. We would also like to extend a massive thank you to the College community as a whole. All the donations from both students and parents were greatly appreciated.

Our Mission Carnival was also a great way to end the term! It was lovely to see students having fun with their friends and enjoying the events of the day. We wish everyone a restful Term 3 break and are excited to see everyone back again on Monday the 2nd of October.
