We were thrilled to host our first Discover Day earlier this week, welcoming 54 girls in years 4, 5 and 6 to the College. It was great to introduce OLSH College to these students and provide them with experiences in the classroom and the opportunity to meet other students considering OLSH for their secondary schooling.
The program included sessions in our art, textiles, science and PE areas, as well as performances by our junior Italian students and choir, and a very energetic Just Dance session to finish off the morning.
A real highlight was having many of our current students involved in supporting the program and reconnecting with students from their own primary school. More than seventy of our students helped with class activities, transferred the groups around the College and ran parts of the program, demonstrating great capability and the warmth of the OLSH spirits to these young visitors. Thank you to all the staff and students who contributed to the success of the day.

Our uniform supplier, Academy Uniforms, are implementing a major systems upgrade during the school holidays, which will include a new point of sale system and a brand new website with many new features and benefits for parents.
To implement this upgrade they will close their stores from Thursday 29th June and reopen at 9am on Tuesday 4th July. Online ordering will also be unavailable during this time.
Works have commenced on the installation of traffic lights at the intersection of Jasper and Brewer Roads. The existing pedestrian crossing with traffic lights on Jasper Road will be removed and Brewer Road will be widened at the intersection to provide right and left turn lanes.
The project is expected to be completed by late August 2023, so work crews will be onsite at this intersection during school hours from Monday to Friday, depending on weather conditions.
As a result, there may be delays in this area and, at times, detours around the intersection. VicRoads have advised that following traffic changes during working hours:
Please plan ahead and allow an extra 10 minutes travel time.
