Dear Family and Friends of OLSH College,

These closing weeks of the final term of the year provide the time to reflect and celebrate the learning that has happened across the year. This newsletter shares the latest information and stories on all that is happening at OLSH College.

With this year being our inaugural transition to a ‘Kickstart’ program for Years 7 to 11 it is an exciting new pathway for the College. All students have completed their courses for 2022 and now have embarked on the start of their learning for 2023. This brings an extra edge to their learning – it is full steam ahead. Already I have heard from students that this has been a well-received change for the better. They are excited about learning the new work for 2023 and it certainly gives them an insight into what life will be like for them in the following year. Of course, the obvious organisational requirements around subject selections, class allocations and teacher and student timetables have all been put in place in order for this new transition to occur.

We certainly hope this initiative will mean that our students are engaged in their learning – which is new learning – right until the end of term. This is an exciting time for all and we wish students and teachers every success.
