Our Junior Production of The Trial of the Big Bad Wolf, presented in collaboration with St Bedes College, was a wonderful success entertaining a full house in the Performing Arts Centre for three shows.
Our junior students worked wonderfully together, on stage and behind the scenes to put on a humorous and professional production, showcasing their acting, dancing and singing talents. It was a memorable experience for the students involved, under inspiring direction from Ms Lara White. Thank you to all who put in many hours of rehearsing, set and costume production and back and front of house support.
Our OLSH Jazz Band performed at the St Paul’s fete recently. It was a great opportunity for the band to play to a large audience, who filled the amphitheatre. The band played three pieces to the appreciative crowd and included some great improvised solos that showcased the growing jazz talent in the group.
After months of rehearsing and finessing their pieces, our VCE Drama students had their final solo drama performance exams recently, each presenting a seven-minute piece featuring a character from a prescribed list.
The performance had to include a dramatic element and performance convention. Well done to Emilia (The Emcee from Cabaret), Brooke (The Detective), Matilda (Yuki Onna) and Makenzie (Mrs Lovett from Sweeney Todd) on your hard work and performances.
Our Semester 2 Dance Show was a great opportunity for students from across all year levels to perform for family and friends. The two shows held in the Performing Arts Centre included large group pieces from our junior students and solo and small group ensembles from the senior students. Well done to everyone who performed and thanks to families for coming to support the students.
