Deck the Stage

Last week, 40 students from year 7 and 8 presented OLSH's first ever junior Christmas Production, called Deck the Stage. This show was a collection of short plays, all of which were inspired by Christmas carols, and some fun song and dance numbers, which had the audience clapping along.

These students worked very hard in a fairly short amount of time to put this show together. They rehearsed every Monday after school and during lunchtimes, so to see it come together so well, was very rewarding. We are so pleased to have been able to offer these talented students another opportunity to shine on the stage.

Dance talent on show

The Semester 2 Dance Showcase was a spectacular showcase, bringing together the talents of 140 dedicated students whose hard work, excellent commitment, and unwavering focus was evident in the presentation of their ensemble and solo performances.

Congratulations to every student involved in the showcase. Your dedication, discipline, and artistic expression was truly commendable and the energy and enthusiasm you brought to the stage was infectious, creating a memorable experience for both the performers and the audience.

Thank you to the parents and friends who attended the performance. Your presence and support added to the joy and success of the event.

As well as highlighting the dance skills of these 140 students, the showcase emphasized the importance of collaboration, teamwork and perseverance. May this be just the beginning of a journey filled with continued growth and success in the world of dance and beyond. Congratulations on a remarkable performance!
