Pathways and Careers

The OLSH College Pathways program prides itself on providing a quality Career Education Program for all students.  



It provides students with access to facilities and resources to maximise their career and further study and pathways options. The Careers Resource Centre is centrally located within the  Hub. It houses up to date career and course information, including the latest career computer assisted programs such as OZJAC.

It is opened every day from 8.15am – 4pm, including most lunchtimes. Students and parents can make individual appointments to speak to the Pathways Coordinator via email.

Programs include:

  • Certificate 1 in Vocational Preparation  for all Year 9’s
  • Careers Fast Track for all Year 10’s (Vocational Testing with group and individual feedback and interviews).
  • Work Experience management and support at Year 10
  • A comprehensive pathway selection process at Year 10
  • Structured Workplace Training as required and through VET & VCAL programs.
  • Individual Careers Counselling, subject  choice counselling and VTAC preference counselling
  • Tertiary Selection and Applications for Year 12’s
  • Careers Intranet Site
